Our History - We are Lighthouse Independent Living Services, "Your helping hands."

Lighthouse Living Services was established in 1999 By Executive Director Tabias Cowan. Tabias started working in Human Services in 1989 at a group home in Santa Barbara California. After many years of experience in various capacities, Tabias relocated to Sacramento California in 1993. Between the years of 1993-1999 Tabias worked as an ILS Instructor, SLS Instructor, Senior Care Provider, Job Coach, and also as a Supervisor. This helped Tabias gain a vast range of skills in the Human Services field and recognize the needs of the community. "Searching, Finding, & Guiding" was something Tabias not only believed in but lived out on a daily basis. On April 9, 1999 Tabias' vision came alive and the first Lighthouse Living Services office was opened in Vacaville California. As Lighthouse gained the communities trust its offices spread from Northern to Southern California. Lighthouse currently has 9 offices in the state of California and continues to improve its vision and fulfill the needs of the community by "Searching, Finding, & Guiding".
